RCA TK-42x Television Camera
with the side open.
The fold down panel has even more set up adjustments. Behind it is the
integral 10:1 zoom lens, which is offset to the right side of the camera.
This camera has a most complex optical system, light exits the zoom lens
and is reflected by a front surfaced mirror, though and "orbiter",
it is then split 80/20% to the IO tube and though another prism and a
field lens, on to the dichroic splitter and then, finally, to the 3 vidicons
via trim filters and relay lenses. Registering the camera must have been
an "interesting" project!
All the tubes have their targets facing the rear of the camera, opposite
from normal.
