"Pye TV at the Olympic Games.
Pye Pty. Ltd. staff members adjust the industrial TV camera and receiver located in the Pye TV and telecommunication box which is positioned 100 feet above the main arena at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The camera was used to scan the main scoreboard (traversing two degrees) so that those press and radio men who could not see the scoreboard could see the on fifteen Pye TV receivers located in the press stand. This service was widely praised by overseas journalists covering the Olympics. Apart from the miniature camera used to televise the scoreboard ten of the thirteen cameras used to televise the games were Pye."

The 14" monitor in the foreground is a grade 1 monitor from the type 84 2780 series.
