History
The LDK13, portable companion to the LDK3, was introduced at Montreux
in 1969. A picture of a prototype camera appeared in Practical Television
August 1968. The BBC had two in an experimental mobile news unit built
into a Range Rover. LWT (London Weekend Television) had one that was
used the “Upstairs Downstairs” programme. The early cameras
were badged “Pye” in the UK. It is thought that not many
were made.
