The Marconi post war numbering system was based on one or two letters followed by a number e.g. BD624 or B3100 for later cameras. Sometimes more than one part number relates to a particular camera as it overlapped the change from 2 to 1 prefix letters.The Mkxx numbering system identified the camera family but not the exact version of that camera, additionally the Mkxx numbering also identified a particular constructional style that applied to that whole family of television equipment that Marconi's manufactured. |
